Motivation

I absolutely loved the alumni luncheon. Those woman were just so enthusiastic about the dental field. It was exciting to meet the women who paved the path to VCU's Dental Hygiene Program. It was interesting to hear the changes that have occured into the hygiene field. ONLY forty years has passed since the program was started and it is mind boggling to think that women were so restricted in the dental field. These women's courageous and brave characters aided them in getting through those times. I also enjoyed their funny stories about roomate experiences and dinner adventures. It related to some of the good memories were making now. It is inspiring to hear all of the options in the hygiene field and know that it does not stop here. I was researching a masters in public health and this luncheon has given me the motivation to move on and live my passion!!
